「土佐幽考」は「未詳、けだし神田なり」とし、「地名辞書」は「今一宮村、秦村是なり」とする。「日本地理志料」は「神田、石井の諸邑をその郷域とす」と記す。神戸は神の家の意で、神社の封戸が設定された地域とされる。現在の高知市神田・鴨田の地域に比定されるという。（p357）
