「日本地理志料」は「古曽米」とよむ説を載せ、現不知火町の旧古曽部村を遺称地とし、宮荘と称するという「小曽部、伊牟田、馬場、石瀬、馬瀬」にわたる地域、現在の不知火町から宇土市の一部にかけての一帯を郷域とする。（p130）
