「美濃国神名帳」には従位下物部明神が見えるが、安八町東結の津島神社はもと物部明神と称したと伝え、また同町森部の大県神社は物部氏の明神を祀ったとしている。当郷はまたその付近から墨俣町二ツ木・墨俣・上宿・下宿あたりに比定されている（新修大垣市史・県史）。（p736）
