「地理志料」は「今天津村あり」として天津を余戸の遺称と考え、現在の伊丹市天津付近に比定する。一方、「地名辞書」では近代の尼崎町、すなわち現在の尼崎市南東部に当てている。天津の属する近代の伊丹町付近は古代には河辺郡郡家郷であったともみられるので、当郷は尼崎市域に求められよう（伊丹市史１）。（p113）
