平安期に見える郷名。「和名抄」伊豆国田方郡十三郷の１つ比定地は現在の中伊豆町大字関野・上白岩・下白岩付近から徳永・戸蔵野・地蔵堂・中原戸・原保にかけての一帯とする説（地名辞書）、「くすみ」を「国の隅」と解し、式内社久豆弥神社を熱海市大字熱海の湯前神社とし、熱海市大字熱海とする説があるが（日本地理志料）、久豆弥神社を現在の伊東市馬場町の葛見神社に比定し、現在の伊東市大字岡・瓶山・馬場町・湯田町・広野１〜４丁目から、岡広町・寿町・宝町にかけての一帯とする説が妥当と思われる（県史３）。
