「続風土記」は「其地は即今の小倉吉仲の二荘ならん小倉ノ荘に吐前村あり」と記し、現在の和歌山市吐前を中心とし貴志川町の一部を含む一帯と推定しており、「地名辞書」も同様の比定を行なっている。（p858）
