「県史」は「託万郷は下東郷の中郷に宅満寺があり、中世宅満城の事と見え、本郡に宅間氏と云うのもある故、この地方とする説は動かせない」とする。宅万寺跡・託万城跡はともに川内市中郷町にある。（p405）
